Collecting and analysing data is key component in assisting the people to analyse Indoor Air Quality and to meet its energy target

The key parameters to be measured and analysed are:

  • Temperature
  • Relative Humidity
  • CO2
  • VOC’s: Volatile Organic Compounds
  • Air Quality

What is a heat cost allocator?

What is a Smart building?

A Smart Building refers to “the ability of a building or its systems to sense, interpret, communicate and actively respond in an efficient manner to changing conditions in relation to the operation of technical building system or the external environment and to demands from building occupants.”

Sontay Smart Sensors

The new Smart Sensor from Sontay enables people/businesses to collect and correlate all the data required, to address IAQ issues and reduce Energy/Operating costs.

A Smart building would be nothing without the variety of sensors that monitor and analyse environmental conditions on a day to day basis, then provide the information to the building control system. Sensors are constantly working, providing valuable data back to the control system.

3 CORE PILLARS:

  • Improve Energy Efficiency
  • Maintain Healthy Indoor Climate
  • Manage Electricity Demand.

Sontay SMART Sensor:

Sontay’s new generation of Smart sensor can offer full environmental sensing in one single device. This sensor can measure;

  • Temperature
  • Relative Humidity
  • CO2 Carbon Dioxide
  • CO Carbon Monoxide
  • Air Quality
  • Light Level
  • Occupancy

The sensor also offers user interface options, e.g. Set Point, Fan Speed and Momentary Switches.

The result is a faster, more efficient installation where controller and I/O requirements are reduced.

Network Smart Sensors

Benefits:

  • Greater comfort and control for the End User
  • Ease of data monitoring assist the Building Manager
  • Simplified & low cost for the Systems Integrator

There are also Sensors available to monitor individual parameters if necessary:

PL Liquid Pressure Sensors & Switches

A valuable feature of this sensor is when in 3-wire mode it automatically detects what the controller input is set to, 4-20mA or 0-10Vdc. This removes the requirement for output jumpers that can be inadvertently set incorrectly. 2-wire loop powering selectable via DIP switch. It also provides on board LED indication for power status and fault find.

RH-D-UN – Single Output Duct Relative Humidity Sensor

A valuable feature of this sensor is its ability to automatically detect what the controller input its set to, 4-20mA or 0-10Vdc. This removes the requirement for output jumpers that can be inadvertently set incorrectly. On board LED indication of which output type is in operation is provided. Also available with a passive resistive output for temperature, along with other passive outputs.

RH-O – Outside Mount RH & T Sensor

A valuable feature of this sensor is when in 3-wire mode it automatically detects what the controller input is set to, 4-20mA or 0-10Vdc.
