CMS is an unique ultra-compact and high-performance multichannel measurement system family for branch monitoring. The system consists of a control unit and sensors with different measurement ranges and mounting possibilities...

The sensors are measuring alternating (AC), direct (DC) and mixed currents up to 160A. Up to 64 sensors could be connected to each control unit. The measurement data can be remotely queried by a Modbus system via RS485 Modbus RTU interface.

Main Benefits of CMS:

  • Monitoring of each branch circuit.
  • Increased availability by detecting deviations quickly before serious damage is caused.
  • Gives maximum transparency on where and how the electricity is used in order to allocate and save costs.
  • The compactness allows easy retrofitting in existing installations.
  • Same type of sensor for measuring AC, DC or mixed currents.

Applications

Increased availability:
Soft starters increase a motor's lifetime by protecting it from electrical stresses. They do so by letting you optimize starting currents that with conventional starting methods put lots of stress on the motor.

Increased energy efficiency:
Branch monitoring gives the maximum transparency on where and how the electricity is used. It enables the user to do an effective consumption analysis in order to save costs.

Allocate the costs:
If multiple parties share a building it is often used the square meter share as a billing factor. The energy calculation for each branch circuit represents a much more accurate and fairer breakdown factor for the costs.
